Professor Bart McGettrick - Life Member

Professor Bart McGettrick is former Chairman of the Board of the Craighead Institute.He worked with Sr Christine Anderson FCJ in developing the Institute both in Scotland and in its work overseas. The orientation to inspire the work of the Institute with Ignatian spirituality lay at the heart of this ministry, forming the foundation of much of the continuing work of the Institute.. 

He is Emeritus Professor of Education and former Dean of the Faculty of Education at the University of Glasgow. He was Professor of Christian Education, and Dean of the Faculty of Education at Liverpool Hope University. He is Chair of the International Board of Regents of Bethlehem University, Palestine. He devotes much of his time to developing Christian education in The Holy Land. 

He has a background in education and public life that is varied.
